Fall Lipsticks!

Hello all! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! Since yesterday was the first official day of fall, I wanted to discuss my top lipstick picks for this fall. Even though it has yet to feel like fall here in Phoenix (I am fighting the weather and wearing scarves anyway...) fall is definitely my favorite time of the year! When it comes to lipsticks, I enjoy nudes and pinks because they look best with my complexion. I believe these colors, however, will work on any skin tone!

MAC Modesty
I love this beauty! This is my favorite nude for fall. It's more of a brown-nude but looks great with either a smokey eye or a simple liner. This shade is glossy so I usually pair it with a nice matte bronzer and my Benefit Rockateur Blush and it's a perfect look for the autumn months! This lipstick is a CREMESHEEN from MAC so it has full color application with a shiny finish. I have found myself reaching for this shade more often than not (you may see it's worn down a bit, haha) because I find it to be the most versatile nude I've ever owned!

Bite Beauty Shiraz
This is another fall-perfect shade! This lipstick has a red-ish tint to it (it is described as a soft plum) which is just gorgeous! I love pairing this lipstick with a cat-eye for a more dramatic look for fall. Plum and brown are lovely for fall so this gem works very well with typical, fall colors. This lipstick is not as glossy as the "Modesty" but I think the more matte look fits well with fall trends.

MAC Lustering
Pink is definitely my favorite color of lipstick to wear! I like this shade of pink for fall in particular because it adds a great "pop" of color to the neutral colors that are associated with it. This lipstick has a beautiful, creamy finish. It is a LUSTRE lipstick so it has a more sheer application but it is still very moist. I don't like pairing with this shade with heavy blush and eyes. I prefer to pair this lipstick with a soft, neutral eye and minimal blush and bronzer. I think this one would look great on all skin tones because it's a cooler pink. This lipstick is a must-have for me, year round!

What are your fall favorites? Let me know! I hope y'all enjoyed my favorite lipsticks for this fall. I will continue to post some of my favorite fall trends in the following weeks.

Never forget lip balm! The EOS lip balm line is my absolute favorite and the packaging is just adorable!

Favorite Face Washes

Happy Wednesday! Half way through the week, yay! I hope y'all are having a great week so far. Today I wanted to share with you my favorite face washes. Now, here's my disclaimer: I do not have perfect skin! I have the unpredicted hormonal break outs and I have some scars from past breakouts. That being said, these face washes are amazingly gentle and yet cleansing enough for my skin. I have combination skin; my T-zone gets very oily while my chin can get dry. So with all that in mind, here are my top go-to face cleansers!

Aveeno Clear Complexion
This has been my favorite face wash for the past four years! Like, no joke, this baby has had a spot in my home for a long time. It is a foaming face cleanser so it is very gentle. It does not have a typical soapy feeling. It's very moisturizing and yet strong enough to get all my make-up off at the end of the day. Many nights I only use this (with no make-up wipes) and my face still feels 100% clean! This face cleanser does have salicylic acid to help treat acne but it is such a small amount that it is not over-drying or irritating. It is safe to say that this is by far the best face cleanser I have ever used!

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Cleanser
This face cleanser comes as a close second to the Aveeno! I have used this cleanser for about two months and it is a good one! I love the Neutrogena Naturals line of products because they don't have harsh chemicals. This cleanser, like the Aveeno, is strong enough to remove my make up at the end of the day without the use of wipes. Although it claims to be unscented, I find this cleanser to have an apple-like scent. I'm not complaining, it smells good! But some folk may not enjoy it. The only less than perfect point I have about this face wash is that it has a more soapy texture which, if it gets in your eyes, can burn a bit. Otherwise, overall I do find this face wash to be very cleansing yet gentle, especially for my sensitive skin.

Yes to Grapefruit Daily Scrub
I have tried many scrubs in the past five years and this one is definitely a winner! I love using scrubs because as I mentioned before, I have scarring from previous bad breakouts, and I try to keep my complexion as even as possible. I love this scrub because it feels like a scrub! Too often I find scrubs to not have enough well, scrub, to them! I don't want anything too harsh but I like to feel like the dead skin is exfoliated. The ingredients in this scrub are a plus too! It does not contain harsh chemicals and is parabens-free. Additionally, this scrub lasts such a long time! It takes such a small amount to work into your skin so I don't have to re-purchase it often.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser and Mask
This product doubles as a cleanser and a mask. I have used this as a cleanser but I prefer it as a mask. It's a very creamy product and I don't typically like cream cleansers. As a mask however, it is very hydrating yet it gives my skin a slippery, clean feeling once I wash it off. I use this as a mask about once or twice a week, depending on how calm my skin is. When using this as a mask, I usually leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. It does not dry out my skin one bit! Even when "dry" enough to wash off, it still feels so moist! I feel like this product does a great job at handling my combination skin as it claims to "reduce shine." I do not like shine on my face, I definitely prefer a more matte look. This mask helps to keep my skin more even looking. This is a great mask that I plan on re-purchasing!

Well I hope y'all enjoyed my little review of these face washes! Let me know what you think and have a wonderful rest of the week!

Allow Me to Introduce Myself...

Happy Friday! Let me first say, this beauty blog has been a long time coming! My interest in all things beauty has grown increasingly as I’ve gotten older and I’ve wanted a gateway to interact with others who share similar interests! I am excited to pursue this little dream of mine and hopefully you will enjoy the journey with me!

Being the first post, I would like to introduce myself! My name is Hannah and I just turned 22 today! (What a better way to celebrate than launch my beauty blog?!) I live in Arizona (yes it’s hot!) with my boyfriend and little doggie. We are originally from New Mexico but recently moved this past summer. Life is swell and getting better! I am self-taught in my beauty knowledge although I have many inspirations.

This beauty blog will be a small window into my life. I look forward to sharing this little escape from reality with ya’ll! I will post about once or twice a week hopefully including some video tutorials. Feel free to follow me on Instagram (@hannahmarie905) for more updates!

Thank you in advance!
